We
did it by helping others. YOU can too! In August of 2000, I found myself in a
position I never imagined.
I was a Vice President of Operations in Corporate America in the
fitness industry. I was married to an incredible man and we decided
to start a family. My entire life I knew I wanted to be amazing
Mom but still have a successful career. Leaving our precious little
one on a day to day basis broke my heart and I knew my husband and
I had a decision to make. 
I have been a stay at home mom for 13 years. I worked a short time in cardiac rehab and cancer research and as a nutritionist, but once I became pregnant with my twins, I chose to start my upholstering business that I ran out of our home for 6 years. For a while, my upholstering business was the answer - until I started having allergic reactions to the chemicals, and back pain from all of the lifting. I realized that as soon as I chose to stop upholstering, the income was gone, it was not reliable. My husband owns his own traditional business, and works 12 hours a day. He has the responsibility of employees, and many overhead costs. If something happened to my husband, I realized, I would not be able to provide for my family or continue to stay at home with them, so I started searching for a business that would allow me to do both of those things.
Sheri Crawley thinks back to only a few years ago when she was busy with her high
paying technical corporate job with hectic hours and strict deadlines. "I was so
overwhelmed that although my husband and I were married for several years we tried
hard not to get pregnant. We couldn't imagine raising kids between corporate travel
and stressed weekends. Not to mention that although we both had "good" jobs, we
were still struggling financially with mortgages, car loans and American Express
bills." 
After working ten years in Corporate America, I was exhausted from working so many hours and not spending enough time with my kids. Every time I advanced in my jobs, I found myself working more hours and spending less time with the family. Finally, I knew I had to make a change so I can be there for my girls and see them grow up. I spent six months researching and looking for a legitimate way to work from home. Being a single parent, I thought I had to work a lot to get ahead financially – not anymore. In September 2002, I partnered up with this incredible team and company and have just seen one success after another.
When I started looking for a business just after the New Year in 2001, I had a LIST of what I would and would NOT be willing to do. This was because I’d had experience with MANY home businesses that always seemed to cost me WAY more than they ever generated. I had tried several before my children were born, but just had to give up – my husband at the time, told me “If you’ll stop trying these home businesses, we MIGHT be able to afford for you to stay home!” Needless to say, I was very skeptical, but I also needed to find a way to continue to provide a quality education for my then 14 year old son and 12 year old daughter, whom I had home schooled for 6 years.
In October 2001 my husband began looking online for something that I could do at home around our family to help earn supplemental income. I had left my teaching career to be home with our first child who was a preemie. We learned the importance of wellness in our home and lives after she had chemical reactions to the baby products. Needless to say, our search began. At the time we were in transition because we had sold our home to build our dream home without the huge debt that comes with it. My husband was so excited when he heard the information about our team because it was so lucrative and didn’t involve “selling”. I had been lured into one of those MLM deals in my early 20’s and was NOT interested in having to sell anything. I am not a salesperson. 
In
December of 2001, I was looking to change the quality of my life.
I knew if I didn't do anything different, nothing was going to change! 
My name is Cecilia Flores and I live in Staten Island, NYC, but I was born and raised in Sweden. I came to NYC in 1994 to study and pursue a career in modern dance. 
I
found this team in December 2002 while searching for something I
could do from home. My husband was serving in the Army and
away for months at a time. We couldn’t afford childcare for
our four children but we just were not making it any longer on one
income. I had dabbled in several other ‘home business’ opportunities.
They all required me to buy and try to sell products, to leave the
home and do “shows” and that just was not possible. We had
found ourselves drowning in debt; each month sinking deeper and
deeper just from necessities. Both my husband and I were so
frustrated and knew that there had to be something out there.

Facing the ups & downs of working in Corporate America, where being laid off,
downsized or outsourced had become a daily concern for me; I knew I had to rethink
the so called American Dream concept of going to school and landing a great job
would secure my financial future. I found myself working 60 or more hours a week in
the Automotive Industry and the time needed to enjoy my family and life was something
I learned to live without. I quickly realized after being laid off that I had been
trained to work for money instead of working to build wealth. "Give a man a fish
you'll feed him for a day (a weekly paycheck); teach a man to fish you'll feed him
for a lifetime (creating wealth).
